    I never believe the Dweeb, but here is what he says (no way the "super bomb" happens! WTF is that anyway? I like the sound of it though)

    LONGER RANGE NOW MORE CONSISTANT WITH A SERIES OF SHORT WAVE TROFS CARVING OUT A LONG WAVE TROF, OFF THE WEST COAST BEGINNING ABOUT THE 20TH......THIS GETS ACCOMPLISHED AS A SURFACE BOMB OR SUPER BOMB OFF THE COAST OF JAPAN THAT REALLY CRANKS UP THE DOWN STREAM RIDGE THE FIRST FEW DAYS OF NEXT WEEK....BY THE 21ST, A COLD STORM LOADED WITH POWDER HEADS INTO MAMMOTH.     its been snowing hard in truckee fore about three or four hours. cold snow. leaving for the mtn now. thinking its too cold and going to be doc, but hey, we dont get storm days in california any more so its still a special day.

    NOAA says .18" moisture so far at the base of Alpine, which probably translates to about 2-3". And the winds are blowing hard enough that nothing higher than Roundhouse is open (i.e., not just Summit, but also Lakeview, Scott, and Sherwood).
