    Squaw Comp Update!

This just in from US Feeskiing:
Due to lack of coverage at Squaw Valley International Ski Resort, the Subaru US Feeskiing Open will be held on the Papoose lift (day one) and The Auld Dubliner in the Village (day 2). Day one competetiors will be challenged by a "dizzy bat" Backwards GS course. If you are fourtunate enough to make it to the second day, The pub will host a Irish Car Bomb tricycle race around the village. And a Super final is scheduled for the top 12 finishers with a wasabi-snorting contest at Mamasake.
Good luck to all the suckers who signed up for this mess!

Yes, this kind of comp will bring incredible tallent to Squaw...we haven't seen the likes of this level of competition in years! One thing is going to be different this time though...Just like Huckasoreass predicted in another thread...you're going to have to bring tricks to the table...just imagine snorting wasabi switch, (put it on your tounge, and make it come out your nose)...the line difficulty points would be huge, but fluidity could suffer a bit...

This just in the comp will be Rainbow Bowl Day 1 and Granite Groomer Day 2!! Seriously, I have been shredding CII all week, there is potential for a comp there for sure, maybe best avg for two runs? CII defintaly is holding some good snow and some super-tech billy-goat lines, maybe a few descent cliff hucks. Its there you just need to think about it and come up with a new line since none of the traditional lines exists. To throw any tricks is going to be difficult almost any air requires a pin-point landing so probobly only small 3's and some grabs/spreaders, etc. Furthermore, I was thinking even if we don't get any more snow why not Silvarado? WE may need to be transported up by cat or sno-mo, but silvey is mostly north facing, and it looks fresh and doable. How sweet would that be if the only tracks put on there were from the comp? Maybe lookers left of China wall or just the Siilvardo bowl near the lift either way it will be ganr but the best stash on the mountain thus far. You could have the spectators watch from top of broken arrow or land bridge?

There will be a Red Bull sponsored BULL IN A CHINA SHOP competition where a kicker will be built in the main lot with the landing pad in Gallery Keoki. Winner gets their Keoki photo enlarged to life size and sold for $5000 with proceeds going to a new Pony Tow for 2007/2008.

My favorite traick was the one The Gov showed me late one night at Pete and Peter's right before we both got tossed out.

    The stuntman -

    1 tequila shot
    1 line of salt
    1 lemon

    to perform:
    #1 snort line of salt
#2 squirt lemon in your eyes
#3 throw tequila shot at bartender
#4 see how long you stay in the bar

Anyone that can pull this off at the Dubliner might just win it.
ps - just kidding - it wasn't Pete and Peter's.
