    I need a day off

like a day at home w/ nobody to bug me- no wife, no kids, nobody but the TV.

Is that wrong? How to engineer such a thing? It hasn't happened in about 3 years..

it'll cost you a sick or vacation day, a hotel room, and a cooler full of beer.

    Bliss is that far away!

Every summer my wife and kids go to a friend of her's form HS cabin. It is the most wonderful weekend ofthe summer. I get to mess around in the yard, go watch a game at the bar, eat a bunch of take out, watch dirty movies on Skinomax, toss food to the dog from clear across the room, hit my hand with a hammer and yell out fuck without getting "the look", yeah I know what you mean. My only "time off" outside of that weekend comes in the form of fly angling trips. My wife hates it, one daughter is too young to get it, and the other is happy if I take her along a few times a year. I don't really care if thefishing sucks, I just sit on the bank of the river and listen to the quiet.

    Good Luck,
    Jay

Hah, I get this "look" a lot myself!

Sick day is the way to go...but the idea of a hotel room and a cooler full of beer is simply brilliant. Once ski season is out, ima have to try this one out.

Also, I have about 50 movies I want to see but cannot seem to get the uninterrupted time to watch them in peace. This could work out really nicely!
