    '06 K2 Fujative vs. '05 Salomon 1080

    Hi there,
Just wanted some advice from everyone.

This will be my first pair of twin tips. This guy around my area is selling two sets of his skis. (1) 2006 K2 Fujative 169's with Marker M1100 Free binding (w/ airpad) and (2) 2005 Salomon 1080 171's with the salomon 912 bindings.
If I had to guess, i'd have to say i'll be skiing half and half between park and normal trails. Which ski would you recommend me to buy? He is selling both sets for $300 - do you think that is a fair price? i was thinking a bit lower, myself. If you had to pick, which would you recommend?

    Thanks,
    Aris

both those skis are terrible. fujis break really easy, and markers are even worse, and for both those skis used they're overpriced. also if you plan on using them all mountian, both are noodles. are you looking for something around that size or something longer?

also remember that twin tips have a shorter running length, so you can get away with a little longer ski.

i think 171's would be okay for me.

i'm coming off of line skiboards - so i'm on 100's right now, lol.
    anything is an upgrade...

i tried my friends 183's and i felt like i was clunking around in them...

Also, i'm gonna try to offer something like $175 - i think it's a shaddy deal too...

i know they aren't top of the line - i just want something i can rock out for the rest of this season before i graduate college.

well the salomon is the better choice of the two. but you could get a better ski, look on ebay at some rossi scratches (avoid the sprayers), there seem to be some good deals on those.

yep, the FS. this years are the FS WRS, but all the older one are just the FS, going to last you a lot longer if you hit rails (stronger edge), and won't turn to noodles like the foam core sollys, just a way better all around ski. also, look into line chronics, as they have a nice non-noodle flex and the burliest edges i've seen.

Could not agree more the FS is a solid ski, the other two are not worth your time and whatever you do NO MARKERS but thats just crazy old me who likes my skis on my feet.
You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

I will have to go check out if i can get some Rossi's for cheap.
Anyone have any places to look online besides ebay?
Is there a possibility of getting the rossi fs's for under $225 with decent bindings?
