    Extra Vertebra

So, the GF apparently has an extra vertebra in her back. Apparently having one tilts your pelvis so that one leg is significantly shorter than the other.

In addition she has a way harder time turning one direction than the other.

I figured it is worth investigating if there is some sort or correlation there.
So does anyone have this or a similar condition?
If so do you do anything to mitigate it?

I'm thinking something like shims or custom footbeds or something similar could help.

Any solution is bound to involve photos and nudity.

We had a client at our shop with a similar problem. The guy just want to rail down groomers but couldn't do it on both sides. He had been to doctors all over and had some pretty sweet orthodics. Nothing really solved it until I mounted one ski with the Salomon lifter and one without. He was raving about how well he could rail after that.

Simple solution but this was back when lifters were just becoming popular. Worth trying though.

I got 4mm shims put under one boot...instant success at a cost of like $20.

Start small and ease it up though until it's comfy. Overdoing it causes some real bitchin hookyness in soft snow and you can't go back down since the toe & heel need to be ground to din specs (so they fit in bindings properly).

Ok looks like I am going down this road.

    Question #2
Anyone know how I would do this with Fritschi's/Denali's?

cutting board shims on on ski for diamers

assuming that the feet are the same shape go with lifts under the bindings or under the boot, not inside the boot. will change the fit too much.

Speaking of which last years langes had a 4 or 8mm lift under the boot. go for 4mm on one side and 8mm on the other.
