I've been to Utah a few times, and am heading back out in a month. Is this common? From a few posts in the thread, it sounds like it's getting more prevalent. I guess I can just watch the evening news to see that Utah, as someone already said here, has lost some of it's innocence. When I was there two weeks ago, there was a report of a murder, a gun fight with cops/high-speed car chase, and a truck blowing up at a gas station.

From now on, stuff that's on top of the rental is going in the back seat when the vehicle is not in motion. Again, sorry that this happened to you (I would be more bummed than mad initially) but thanks for sharing it with us to give us a heads-up as to what the fuck is going on out in Utah.

You guys completely rock. Again I want to thank all the extremely cool maggots for their very generous offers for gear, both on this thread and by PM. I'll be fine – after the deductible, insurance will cover, and I'm such a gear slut that I have enough backup gear so I should be back skiing without a hitch. I'll see if there are any pix of the pack lying around, but the rest of the stuff is mostly generic. Thankfully, our skis and boots were left in the car, so that's not a problem. Plus, after I get finished suing Vail I should have plenty of cash.

It gives me a lot of faith that for every fucktard who kills stoke by ripping off ski gear, there are dozens upon dozens of stokeified cool skiers out there who have your back no matter what, since we all share the passion for pow. TGR minions consistently step to the plate for fellow skiers, and though I'm lucky enough to be able to cover my losses, its cool just knowing that you guys are there for anyone in my situation. This place has introduced me to a big slice of my stokified brothers and sisters in snow, and I'm super grateful for that.
