I'm just hugely pissed off at either the fucking methheads or (even worse) spoiled rich kid gangsta wannabes who did this. Worst part is that a lot of the stuff they'll have no use for (prescription eyewear, knee brace, vintage gear) will be the hardest to replace.

My heart sank when SheRa and I got our gear ripped off earlier this season and I can just imagine how you felt when you came out to the car to find all of your gear missing. I have heard of skis getting stolen at Alta this year. I never have heard of that happening in 20 years. Whether it is the same thieves or not, one thing is for sure; Utah has lost a little bit of its innocence over the years.

About 6 years ago I walked out of the lodge at Monarch to my truck, and saw a guy laying a beatdown on 2 other guys who were 'borrowing' his skis and gear. Turns out the fucks were running a racket and taking the stuff back to Wasted State and selling it.

it sure happened in 01-02 and 02-03. one of them got caught shuttling skis to his trunk and learned the hard way that theivery is wrong.
