I have a feeling Hillary will do alot better than I previously would have believed. But the Dems need someone electable, I agree. And I dont think Giulianni or McCain have it either.

    Jeb, scary.
I didn't want to sign up for insider.

What's so scary about Jeb? He's absolutely kicked ass in one of the most challenging states in the union to govern.

I can't wait to watch the political expediency olympics break out. With Edwards, Kerry(hasn't announced, but is there any doubt?), and Hillary in the same primary it will be absolutely mindblowing.

a clintonesque dark horse could be Bredesen from TN.

I have no problemo with a woman in the white house, hell, Nancy probably made more wise decisions than either Bush. I just don't see Hillary as the one. I would only vote for her if she were the lesser of two bad choices, which will likely be the case. The Dems are going to hand this one to the GOP on a silver platter.

Many people are forgetting one HUGE positive that would help obama.. his stance on illegal immigration (not for it)... i sure as hell know he has won over a lot of republicans in the chicago area and immigration will most likely still be a hot topic come election time... just my .02 cents...

Add Hillary to the "unelectable" list. To polarizing.

Barak could do very well riding a surging anti-incumbent wave.

W can't run. Cheney is the only one that could loosely be termed an incumbent.

How many people are gonna check the box next to the guy who sounds like a cross between Sadomy Hussein and Osoma Bin Laden.
Don't get me wrong I kinda like the guy, I'd prolly even vote for him. But if the dems put him or Hillary on the ballot I think we're dooming ourselves to another rebumblican.
You have a point. I think people will be more concerned however when they find out that he was educated in a islamic madras in Indonesia when he was young.

The problem with Obama/Hillary is not their sex, race or religion... it is that the policies that they would enact would ruin the economy, and would leave our nation weak. Anyone who bases their vote for president on sex race or religion is a fool.

    Wow.
So now there's a woman, a non-white male with a terrorist-sounding name, and a mormon running for pres. This definitely will be a most interesting election.

Do you have examples of those proposed policies? Do deficits matter?

Sadly, I think race/religion/gender are the initial considerations of many voters...if the candidate isn't status quo (read...ahem...white).

One has to ask oneself: What has she done? Like, what is her resume? First Lady, failed Med Plan politician (miserably) during that period, nothing really much to say about the blow job, because it was below her intellectual level to respond. (not a criticism from my side) Then somehow being elected to the Senate in a state she had previously never had much of a connection to, and only now has a mailing address in an upscale bedroom community, and since then pretty much doing nothing but flying under the radar and bringing coffee for the senior senators. And, oh yeah, voting for this fucking war.

But, McCain. Please. That is one of the most charmless men I have seen on the tube being "tested" for this contest. Jeez, the combover, the hurt, depressed scowl, the pain in the man's eyes. Good Lord. No fucking way.

    Neither.

the word polarizing keeps coming up. THATS the problem right now in the US, we can't seem to get away from partisan politics and focus on bettering the country as a team, not an individual. Re-election should not override a politicians elected duties to make life better for their constituents and make the tough decisions.
Our world is full of surrender at the first sign of adversity, do not give up when the challenge meets you, meet the challenge. Through perseverance comes the rewards, the rewards that make life so enjoyable.

Seize the day, trusting little in the future.

if you want something, go after it. if you want to screw someone over, look DEEP in your heart and realize Karma is a bitch

Higher taxes damage the economy. Yes, deficits matter in as much as they create higher interest rates or higher inflation. But no deficits or surplus means that the Govt is over taxing the economy.

More importantly, he used to be a muslim.

That shit won't fly in an election that has so much surrounding muslim terrorists.

Live there for a while. If you do live there, you are lying. New England is one of the most racist places I've ever been, and I grew up there.
