OK - so I know from MBS that there were some issues with Frequency over the title "The Snowboard Journal", as the same phrase is part of the Frequency's title. I suppose TSJ could have changed the name. But a complete shutdown? What happened? TSJ is like Frequency in that it's published 4 times a year at a hefty $12 / issue price.
TSJ was the shit. Big format, thick paper, the heaviest photos and intelligent writing. It was "The Surfers Journal" of snowboarding. No disrespect to MBS or the Frequency crew, but I prefered the clean lines and format of TSJ over Frequncy. Frequency seemed a bit more dark/punk compared to TSJ.
So now I will receive FutureSnowboarding. Fuck that shit. The last issue had articles on pros' tattoos, best party ski towns, and a year in the life of Shaun White. Talk about shallow.Fuck that shit twice. And this is after my wife got me a gift of a two year subscription to TSJ for $80.

how do I get in touch with Jason Ford (ex-publisher of TSJ)
and if anyone has the first 3 issues and wants to get rid of them, i'll take them off your hands.
