OK, newbie chiming in here. Some of you know me, but most don't.

Sprite, I'm giving the locals' tour on the 17th to a group of my girlfriends who have never been to Jay. The plan is to introduce them to powder/off-piste/trees. I would love to have you join us if you're interested. Respond here or via PM.

We'll be up at Jay this Saturday too. I'm in a yellow Arc'Teryx jacket and green hat, my husband may or may not have his patroller jacket on (don't worry, skiing with a patroller is a lot more fun than you might think! ). I believe one of our missions this weekend is to make The D safe for all mankind...

Soul skier, my husband and I might be able to do the Tucks trip. Would like to hear more about this.

I can vouch for the quality of the tour you will receive.
Falldice (aka: Alfonze/Alan) myself and one another were given an excellent day's tour of Jay's excellent trees a couple of springs back. The face chutes, which were a bit firm that day, aren't to bad either...nor were the massive corn bumps on CanAm. Damn, I was thinking I wouldn't have to drive all the way uop there this season, but now i'm getting myself all stoked...by this time of year, i feel a little burnt out from all the drives to MAD

(Hi SST...I believe I met you as Attagirl on epic? And yes, your husband was fun and laid back - not your stereotypical patroller)

Hey buckethead, I was actually hoping you'd speak up! That was a great day, wasn't it? Fat skis, sunburns, spring conditions. Any time you're up for another trip, let me know.

However, you are a bad boy, I'm using a diff name here on purpose, but thankfully you got that other name wrong! LOL You are thinking of the right person, just the username is a bit different than what you recall. That comes with getting old, though...or having to drive so far to get to the real snow.

Yes, one of the finest days of the season...if i was on the 105mm skis i'm on now, i would have taken a shot at the pond skim! Thanks, will do.

Whew! Glad I didn't out you then. At least i didn't call you Bonni
I'm only old and road weary during the work week (i also haven't been at that other board much since...i came over here)...and come 3am saturday morning i'm refreshed+rejuvenated

Hope to see you at Jay and/or Tux

You'll need those if you come up here anytime soon! You should have seen it the other day: snowing like crazy, one of the patrollers takes out his Prophet 130s with telly binders, hikes up to the summit, and just as he drops into the Face, sun comes out and shines on him as he floated down...to the cheers of all the folks standing at the top of the Bonni chair.

    Either would be awesome.

Wow SST...the answer is YES! I would love to do this. I'll be PMing you next week to get details. I have to figure out what I'm doing...as I think I have a 3 hr trek to get up there I think? I may have to go up a day early and ski K on Friday then drive up and hit up Jay. Are there good/cheap places to stay in that area?

    Thank you! This sounds fantastic

Awesome! I think you'll have a great time!

From KMart, it is between 2.5 and 3 hours, depending upon road conditions. I can get you names of some decent cheap places to stay. Will PM them to you.
