Will it work, yes. Will the tune be very good? prolly not.

Here are the steps to get boards tuned and in good shape:

    1. Go to Liquor Store, Buy 6 pack of good beer

    2. Go to your favorite area shop with skis and six pack

    3. go to the tune center, hand the skis to the best tech around.

    4. Open beer, drink

    5. Wait

    6. They will ask for $30 Bones and the remaining 5 beers of that sixer

    7. Look at the fucker with disgust and proclaim: I'M GORDY PEIFER GOD DAMNIT. YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY TO GET MY SKIS TUNED!

    8. Grab skis and tip the guy the remaining 4 beers.

I disagree, my short time on TGR says that is one of the better posts by a newbie.

Indy, I think he has this down already.

Frankly though, it's hard to beat a nice rock. I mean, Conan sharpened his sword with a nice round rock. What's good enough for Conan's sword is good enough for my skis.

I once asked a US Ski Team tech the tuning question. I got backed into a corner for two hours and proceeded to learn nearly every trick in the book. I woke up the next day and didn't remember anything. It must have been all of the JD that I drank when I finally escaped.

I guess the best answer that I can give is, "Str8line, ask me when I'm drunk."

    Slow day, Gordy?

I use a file guide at 1/1. It seems to make my edges duller because I'm retarded.

Edit: if you really want to know, ask McConkey. He kills people with his skis to get first chair, so I'd imagine the edges would have to be pretty sharp...

Get a file, a dimond stone amd a gummi stone. It takes some practice, but perfect every time!
Some people see skiing as a sport, to me its a way of life.
