    Off The Grid

Saw the Warren Miller film "Off The Grid" tonight with the Things and my mom. Found out a couple of years ago that my parents were big WM fans. They just didn't have the guts to actually try skiing. So as a birthday present, i took mom to see the flick. It was great. Things loved it, said that would be them in a few years. (FKNA!)

Mom was wondering what kind of music was used in the old WM films? Progressive jazz, rock ?? She can't remember what it was and so told me I had to ask my ski board. Anyone know the answer or where I might find it??

I have a trailer for a sailing movie of his from like 1964. I actually found the studio master 16mm reel on ebay about five years ago, and then WM productions contacted me wanting to buy it for the archive. After transferring it to VHS, I whored it to them for some seriously rare 26 x 30 hand signed & framed B&W Bogus Basin photo prints from 1948, which (I think) is the first year he was shooting, and started the whole living in the car thing he seems to bring up every three minutes.

    He's really old.

Like since the beginning. They lived in CA from '59-'61ish, so it had to be then that they watched WM.

Just as with any movie, there should be song credits at the end. Write down the song, use google... your golden!
Some people see skiing as a sport, to me its a way of life.
