    Straightline Camp - March 2-4, 2007

    Straightline Camp - March 2-4, 2007

I had to cancel at the last minute for the camp on Jan. 12-14 due to the flu. Gordy generously agreed to let me reschedule to the March 2-4 camp, so it looks like that's where I'll be.

I didn't see a specific lodging thread for the March 2-4 camp, so I'm starting one. If you need a place to stay, send me a PM. I'm tentatively planning on flying in on March 1, flying out in the evening of March 4 (maybe morning of March 5, kind of depends on tickets).

So - anyone else going to this one?

And PMs replied to. I'm planning on staying here for the March 2-4 camp:
    http://marriott.com/property/factsheet/SLCSD

Same place as I reserved before for the Jan. 12-14 camp. In Sandy, just south of the I-15/ 215 interchange, on I-15. Should be about 10 minutes drive from there to the mouth of LCC/BCC.

I haven't decided if I'm flying or driving yet, most likely flying. If anyone is flying in and needs a place to stay on the nights of March 1-3, let me know.

I'm in for the March camp - I just registered -
I'm looking for a place to stay too. I'll be driving down, I have a subi with a ski rack/studs, so I can drive us to Snowbird when the roads are all shitty from the massive dumps they're going to have when we're there.

Looks like I'll be bumming rides from sfotex and we'll be at this Marriott in Sandy:

    Thumbs up

    I'll be there as well.

I'm driving from Boulder (anyone wants to carpool?) and will thus have a car for getting around.

if yr a really cheap dirtbag mf'er, (like me) you can get the cabin here:
http://www.majesticrockies.com/ for 65$ a night : has full kitchen, 3 beds and covered parking. right on state & 9000 s so it's one turn to get to lcc.

    Rollcall:

El Chupacabra, sfotex, whorehey, skuff, PowderPig, Spark... cdlv, you going to this camp?

Tahoe just got dumped on with 12-48" of snow, depending on the location around the lake, with a series of storms forecast from now (Friday) through Tuesday. Most of our storms roll right through to Utah, so the skiing should be good next weekend.

I'm here, chomping at the bit...
Looking forward to the camp and meeting everyone.

PowderPig and I will be at Best Western Cottontree in Sandy.
Skuff had to cancel out of the camp, bummer.

I'm getting in Tues night, leaving Monday AM.

PM me for my cell if anyone wants to ski Wed/Thurs.

As whorehey said, I'm not able to attend this camp due to unforseen circumstances.

It sounds like you lucky bastids will have some fresh snow to slide around on. Someone do a proper TR and show me what I missed.

I'm soooo FREAKN' excited!!! FKNA.....Never skied Utah. Spoke to Gordy yesterday and he got me all happy...COME SNOW COME...hmmmm Utah pow...light fluffy.

Since I was out for a while because of my knee injury I've been ripping it up the last couple of weeks, getting myself back into condition.

So my plan is arrive Thursday....camp Friday-Sunday; Monday-Thursday....just ski pow wherever the goods may be and hopefully hook up with some mag/magettes; Friday hook-up with my sis.

Ha, just took next next Monday off because I didn't make it to Canada last week. Planning on skiing 'till about 2 or so on Monday and heading back.
Hope we get along, 'cause it looks like we're going to be skiing togeather for a few days

Sweet- if that's the case, let's ski on Monday too; I'll keep my late-afternoon-return-flight on Monday.

Ha, less then a week to go and the fart jokes have already started.

Hey, you do any BC? I know the conditions in SLC are super sketch right now, but a mellow tour Monday might be nice after 3 days of hammering.
