1/13/07: Pics of a crowded day at Lost Trail, MT

It was cold today. Nobody came. We only took the camera out once because it was cold. This is Mrs. Rootskier at 1:30 pm.

Me and myself feelin the fat Bro float.

Lookit all the gapers and hillbillies.

wait, there is a Mrs. RootSkier?! and you telemark?!

Nice pics. Being hearty and willing to withstand the cold can often yield awesome powder days.

Ammmmmmaaaaazing, I know. I have actually been posting on ttips much longer than here (different name until recently).

splat, yeah, we got into Hollywood Bowl earlier. It was awesomely deep...I wished I would have hard a partner in crime for some billygoatin'. These pictures are actually in the super slackcountry beyond the north boundary. Traverse in...traverse out.

I grew up in Minnesota. I would say it was "kinda cold." I have skied in far worse, though.

I got in several days up there when home, It was a blast. We were there on the Thursday the Fourth and hiked up to Hollywood on our last run. It was an excellent day, a foot of new snow and hardly anyone there.

Good one Root, glad you got out and braved the temps for the goods. Mrs. FOS and I did a quick 700' lap up at Lolo Pass and found some decent snow.

You up for some bc next week sometime? High pressure = new lines (I hope).

15" new reported this morning since LT closed Sunday. I arrived, well not early enough apparently as Rootskier was coveting the coveted first chair and I was 20 or so back. We rallied pretty much till the end and finished 'er off at the Bitterroot Brewery.

    A few pics

Random dude on the first ride up for the day, cold smoker

My buddy trying to taste a little bit of the smoke

Our monoboarder "Big Worm" slide slipping the chute. After he cleared I proceeded to straightline this beaut!

    Rootskier showing is O face

He likes it so much, he shows it again

I would just like to say that this was one of the illest things I have ever seen. This dude is in his 60s, and once the chute got down to about 5' feet wide, he had no choice but to straightline it (I think it's a little longer than it looks from this angle).
