I'm surprised you are interested since there wasn't "1 foot of blower pow"
that is....unless you skinned with us to a cool area off of Carson Pass on Sunday for some freshies.
or hiked somewhere OB Sunday..... <--- Sorry slim we never made it back to our meeting spot....our route took us much longer than anticipated.
in other weekend news, I busted my Super Nobis...busted up the sidewall, and the edge will probably delam soon....3 season's at the Wood = 3 busted skis per season (1 Bandit XX, 1 AK NKO, & 1 SN)

At least they lasted longer than a day. That's all Nordica Beast's are good for.
No worries Tyrone. I met up with hardrider and lph for a run on Saturday afternoon. Sunday, Ms. Slim and I slept late and then had to be back in the Bay.
Sounds like I need to star traveling with my AT rig as you guys seem to hit the BC at a moments notice. Bummer about the Super Nobis's.
What happens at lph's house...stays at lph's house...
With the notable exception of the fact that I am now the left handed air hockey god. Usually my left hand is completely useless, but my brilliant air hockey skills overcame that and shattered the Nater's confidence (which had been flying high after taking down WSD in a close match).
Side note:
WTF is going on down here. I fly into HelLA and it's raining? The world must be coming to an end. Too bad I didn't bring my skis. I coulda hit Baldy tomorrow. All I know is my liners are facked. Less than a season and they're packed out worse than [insert random prostitute joke]. Saturday was the worst day of skiing I've had all year. Being on the NKOs with loose boots was like trying to drive an Indy car with casts on both hands. I'm just lucky that instead of crashing into a wall I merely double ejected onto my chin, tomahawked, and then landed on my face again.

I've only got one picture from the party. I'll post it later tonight unless Hardrider comes through with the bribe.
Saturday (Skiing)
10 at 10: The largest group of Maggots and affiliated friends that I've seen so far assembled. In attendance were. Greydon Clark, Stony Wall, Tyrone Shoelaces, Kellie, Divegirl, Slim, Seki Skier (of TTips fame), Walter Sobchak, Mrs, WS, LegoSkier, and a couple of DG's friends, and another couple people she picked up on her warm-up run (must be good to be that charismatic).
First run to Lower C**** found good but not astounting snow. Followed by a quick trip to Wat***** which was similar. Over the next few runs we slowly lost people from the pack (and had one casualty (good to hear that he's still skiing though).
1:30: A few of the crew have decided that <insert OB stash name here> needs some tracks. We give it some, and get some more untracked at <insert another OB stash>.
3:15: We return inbounds and ski a couple more finding good snow, but the day has already been "made" by the OB skiing.
Partaaaay: LPH's (and of course the amazing WW's) pad of unuterable awesomeness is swingin and rocking by the time I arrive. I pound two FDPs to try to catch up with LPH and Hardrider (those and one beer during a late night Asshole game are the limit of my consumption).
The food: Tiropita (WSD), Baklava (Legoskier), Strudel (Arty50), Jumbalaya (Wonderwoman), Budweiser (Hardrider and LPH I believe). Assorted other items from the other maggots in attendance.
The games: Caps (LPH and Hardrider's downfall), Asshole, Darts, Air hockey, drawing on Hardrider with a sharpie after he passed out. After easily defeating WSD in the first two games in a best of 3 match for the lefthanded airhockey championship the reigning champion (that'd be me) was defeated in a single game match by a challenger from the audience (thanks Arty....). WSD and I attempted a game of foot airhockey, but it was deemed immodest by the audience and pulled from the airwaves. Meanwhile over at the dart board LPH and crew is proving that it's good to have a doctor (or at least a handyman) in the house by making the surrounding walls more afraid than the dartboard (only a little truth was injured in the telling of this tale).
The People: Great people one and all. Thanks for the great time and I look forward to skiing and partying with all of you again. Notable people events: LPH and Hardrider going down early. DG and Legoskier closing it down with very late arriver (Geoff).
Sunday:
9:30: Say howdy to the bc crowd as they assemble at Carson pass.
9:50: NateR has a disturbing idea of a warmup run.
10 at 10 (well almost): Splat, Lunch, Divegirl and myself assemble. We rip the shit out of KW. it starts snowing and we rip harder. Splat fights with his boots, DG fights with a hangover, I fight with my heels, Lunch proves that we should laugh in his face the next time he says anything about "hoping he can keep up with us young people." He rips.
During the course of the day we get somewhere between 6 and 8 inches of fresh. Over in ******* ***** we find some stashes that are easily knee deep. We find similar conditions in ********. Lunch (burgers, sausage, not the maggot though he was there) in the Battered Beaver. And an afternoon with nothing but fresh snow (very nicely blown in by the wind) and ear to ear grins. Wish the rest of you slackers (not the bc people) could have been there to share. It was good.

Geoff showed up? I don't recall if I've ever met him, and if I did Saturday I don't recall. In fact, the last thing I remember is the second game of asshole. My next memory occured Sunday morning when I woke up bleary-eyed, took a minute to realize that I had passed out on lph's couch, and looked over at hardrider on the other couch who was showing off his freshly painted fingernails and faux curly mustache.![]()

It was a good weekend for skiing, great snow and great people. Sorry that I missed the party at LPH's, but I was sleeping by 9:30 (waking up at 4:15 kicks my ass).

Met Hardrider, lph, and Slim, but was giving a tour to some visiting friends so had to leave before laying down any lines.
Sketchy moment of Sunday ---------> Watched someone drop into Big Jim's (I think that's what it's called), snaggle his ski and head straight into the rocks skier's left of the air out. He was okay.
Thursday/Friday, weather permitting, should be big.

mmmm....that might not have been Big Jim's. Big Jim's is nothing but a 70 foot air. Maybe one of the smallish chutes next to it?Originally posted by FollowMe

Yes, it was one of the smallish chutes next to it; the larger of the smaller ones to be exact.Originally posted by Tyrone Shoelaces

By the way, what are the name of those chutes? I've been trying to figure this out for awhile.
