I agree wholeheartedly. Looking at the forecast the Arctic subzero air looks like it will dig deeper back into the front range this weekend.
For the students (especially backcountry newbie's) will not learn much about avalanche safety, while they are freezing their asses off. Its one thing to have an avalanche course at a ski area, where you can retire to a warm patrol HQ under these conditions. And instructors, would have to pay more attention to the care and safety of their students, then teaching avalanche subject matter.
I think postponing this weekends FOBP field courses is a VERY good idea.
