    the song in your head

I always get the last song I hear stuck in my head for the day. I dont ski with an mp3, so the last song for me is usually the one in the car while Im putting my boots on. the song can sometimes set the tone for my ski day. for intstance, reggea translates into going for a walk away from the crowds or mellow tree skiing if its a pow day.

today the last song I heard was Iron Maiden. the following was a continuous loop thumping in my head all morning:

it was not a mellow ski day

last season run to the hills was my official song of skiing. I played it in the car driving into the parking lot every day of the season. It was officially retired at the end of last year in the hopes that a new song would present itself, but so far nothing has.

this was the song ticking in my head as I got first tracks through fraggle rock on Sat. A little good metal never hurt a ski day

There is nothing better to me than some excellent Rush tuneage on the player.

Can usually get pretty stoked off anything from the 2112 - moving pictures era.

DAmn now I know why some days I just can't keep up no matter how hard I try. I don't have the same song in my head.

Going to be listening to Iron Maiden next time you straightline WildSide?

i've had this one going for a while... damn mall soundtrack!

    The Bangles - Eternal Flame

Close your eyes, give me your hand, darling
Do you feel my heart beating, do you understand?
Do you feel the same, am I only dreaming?
Is this burning an eternal flame?

I believe it's meant to be, darling
I watch when you are sleeping, you belong to me
Do you feel the same, am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame?

Say my name, sun shines through the rain
A whole life so lonely, and then you come and ease the pain
I don't want to lose this feeling

    [break]

Say my name, sun shines through the rain
A whole life so lonely, and then you come and ease the pain
I don't want to lose this feeling

Close your eyes and give me your hand
Do you feel my heart beating, do you understand?
Do you feel the same, am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame?

    An eternal flame?

(Close your eyes and give me your hand
Do you feel my heart beating, do you understand?
Do you feel the same, am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame?)

"Who Was In My Room Last Night" from Butthole Surfers usually gets me prepared to rip. If it's going to be a mellow day then some Sublime or a little Techno from Banco De Gaia sets the pace.

i think that's "the riddle" by random rab. great track, same with the all the beats from rob the viking throughout the movie. wolfmother is also highly represented, and that rocks.

you can find scene specific tracks from anomaly here:
