BC was good on the west facing slopes off of Relay Ridge. East Facing slopes were scoured and highly variable...

You can bet most stuff out of the trees on east aspects has been stripped. Expect firm windboard--maybe chalky, but firm. The Tahoe region was upside down today: the few clouds in the air actually came from the ground. More specifically, the 12"+ new that went up, up and away.

Siberia was all scoured. CII had some good pockets in there but a little scoured in spots. Kt same thing one turn was deep fluff, the next was hard styrafoam, the next rocks. Vary variable everywhere. The best probobly was CII and Enchanted Forest to the Sisters and below the Sisters but still variable.

That's surprising considering how protected the Siberia ridge is.

I didn't know CII and Siberia opened today; I thought they were closed.

Today (Fri) indeed KT's Nose and Enchanted Forest were great. Lots of pow and lightly chopped pow.
The track to the Nose was sketchy and rock laden but the Nose itself was fine. Also, the west face
under Olympic Lady was prime. GS bowl was meh..not bad but not great. Here are two pics taken from
our window as the sun rose this Friday morning:

Wed was like skiing on slate. I took Chute 75 and Alternate: what a nightmare.

Thursday was $$$$$$. Nobody was around and we (my sons and I) had first chair on Red Dog and
then skied onto KT over and over with no line and tons of pow.

Funitel at 8am: nobody around. Same thing at KT and Red Dog all day long.

Often times we were on a whole face unto ourselves. Here's my older son in Enchanted Forest
(above Ice Goddess) and you can see nobody is around.....no tracks.

My younger son lost his KT cherry on Thursday!

CII opened at 2:00 and I am sure was slayed. Before it was open we were traversing from the top of Squaw ONe and gettting half of CII. I got first tracks of pow near the Anvil Rock. Siberia was not open but you could traverse half of it and it was completly scoured but edgable. We skied kind of under the Sibo lift and it has some descent pow stashes. Siberia not protected at all, especially with an east wind. Also got first tracks on Middle Shirley Chute, fuck yea!
