for a meniscus injury that's been bothering me for like 8 months. just thought i'd throw out an update for those who care!
it actually went REALLY well. he found no meniscus tear! which is awesome. i asked him what he found in there right after i woke up from the anesthesia. he explained, and i proceeded to ask him the same question again three times before he got fed up and told me he'd explain it next week at my post op.
needless to say, i was absolutely retarded for about an hour after i woke up. i couldn't remember a god damn thing anyone said.
for the record verset = the shit.
so the nurse told me he did a "chondroplasty" - im assuming it has something to do with cartilage and sanding down the rough edges. anyone have any other ideas? i also vaguely remembering my surgeon mentioning some removal of some synovial something but it wasn't a plica...hmmm..
well now im sitting on my ass all stoned on vicodin. how long before i get my ROM back? when can i start doing straight leg raises and such?
i'm really stoked to have gotten this over with and can't wait to get back out there![]()
