Blizzard Thermos - before races, we'd always leave our skis in the snow (as opposed to in the rack) stupid!

Hansen Spyders - could also be disasembled with an allen wrench.

BTW - The Hanson Exhibition predated both the Stilleto & the Spyder.

Hansons were an injection boot, what was the injection material?

Who made the first maganesium shell boot that was also injection (foam) fit?

edit: added a what so the question makes sense.

Hansons were a neoprene liner (thus the spray can). Most also had a "Flo" (some sort of gel stuff) insert around the instep.

Mel "Daleboot" Dalebout did the first magnesium shell boot, which was also the first rigid, hinged shell ski boot. There's still one on the wall at the Daleboot factory. Don't know if it was injection fit.

I don't get it either, but he's at two ACL's now, not one.

You bitter smartmouth bastards might actually get along if you met up. Give it a rest. Seriously.

But if you can't give it a rest, I'm gonna have to tagteam with Dex. Sorry, Ted, but he's my bro.

Bonus points in the lightning round for both irul and Spats. And yes, the Daleboot was a foam boot.

My dingbat brother spent days masking and spraying his mag boots with bright yellow paint - nearly all of which came off the first time he skied in them.

True or false: The Fullplast 2002 was a ski built in the mid-seventies.

I can't wait any longer; Art Fuhrer was sponsored by Hart. He skied on Javelin SSL's and did tricks like the Royal Christie and Javelin turns (before phUnk was born).

Ted, you might be right about the Olin. But, it would have been the Olin Mark IV, which was released prior to the Comp.

I've got to stop using the red. Maybe it's just my monitor settings, but it's hard to read.

Who can say where the name 'Royal Christie' came from, and what Americanization led to its name?

I can make a half-ass stab at it. The Christiana family was the royal family of Demark, and one of them Danes came up with the useless turn we've cime t know as the stem christie. Hence, after a few years, the Royale Chtristie

    Or not.

I was thinking more along the lines of a royal dog named Christie; because doing a Royal Christie looks somewhat like a male dog lifting a leg to piss.

Come on Dexter, cough-up the answer. Inquiring minds want to know.

    Spit it out, Dex.
Is it even a spin off reference to a stem christie?
Is Christie some hot chick in the Arlberg that did nude onslope modeling for American Nude Skier magazine?
