    Until the very end when the Strato was a total POS, the Strato was always a combi ski. Smack in the middle of their SL & GS skis.

    Well , I will bow to your knowledge on the subject. I thought that the 550 was the GS and the 650 was the SL . But I was pretty young at the time.

    After drilling the skis, you insert a nail or an awl in the screw-holes. Spin it around to create a cone-shaped reservoir in the aluminum core - base of the cone near the base of the ski, tip of the cone at the screw-hole opening. Fill the holes with epoxy and install the bindings. Hang upside down until the epoxy cures.

    Note: The Ski is still in business. Secondly, our resident shot-ski in my apartment is a "The Ski" with radicoooooool graphix.

    The VOs were a rack ski. Blowing needed to be done to get the ski I'm talking about.
