The Formidable is the bright greenish/yellow Spalding I couldn't think of, thanks.

edit: too late . . . . base color on the Strato was light blue.

Trick Question. The models (in order of release) were:

    710FO - Slalom, 810FO - GS

    KVComp - Nastar, CVComp -Slalom

SL Race - SL, GS Race - GS

    Here's a question for you:

What was so special about "The Ski?"
    Bobby Burns built it.

Wrong on the K2 info...the original comp predated, by several models and years, the 710FO, which was actually predated by the 710 (w/o the FO)...

so, the question remains...SL or GS

Yeah, now that I think of it, I think the bases were clear. The graphic difference I was looking for was the white pinstripe that ran through the blue and red sections of the topsheet.

Sorry, for some reason I was focusing on the CVComps, probably 'cause I had a pair.

I'd say it was the SL for Phil Mahre, but I'm probably wrong.

And the special thing about "The Ski" was it was "Guaranteed for Life." Too bad the company folded.

Volkl made a ski called the Gemini

Cracked edge, slalom sidecut on one side
Solid edge, giant slalom sidecut on the other

Two skis in one, just trade from foot-to-foot.

The later grey, red & blue Stratos had long since lost their soul by the time you bought yours. Sorry.

I could be mistaken; but, I don't recall The Ski being guaranteed for life. Also, Bobby Burns is building The Ski again in Sun Valley. My friend bought a pair and loves them, I won't ski with him anymore.

Name the brand of ski that was guaranteed For the life of the skier.

Pretty sure it was the Quantums with the windows, wasn't it? Did Rossi make more than one with the windows?

    Al-u-minium honeycomb core.

But tell me what you had to do to mount bindings on a pair of Hexcels.
