    Northeast Rant on Weather

I guess I can't complain. The 6" we got two days ago was pretty cool.. and Sunday was excellent - cold and sunny. Had lots of fun.

So.. am I supposed to be thrilled about 6" of snow??

Maybe I would be.... but.. Guess what happened today in Vermont? Rain.
Guess what's forecast to happen this upcoming weekend? Rain.

Rain. In Vermont. In January. And the temperatures are 30 effin degrees above normal.

Driving home today (in the rain), I really had a lot of time to think about how shitty this season is turning out.. and I ended up just totally pissed off.

on the other hand, yesterday was nice. And I'll take what I can get.

    (shit!!)

The day before Xmas, the PA system was blaring "White Christmas".

I was this close to jumping off the lift and ending it all.

Look on the bright side... Rain on New Years seems to be a common thing. I've been out here for three years (not all consecutive) and it's rained on New Years in all of them. Maybe we're returning to normal.

The problem is that there is no return to cold temperatures in the long term forecasts. Here in Phila, it pushes 65 degrees every day. Bases aren't building so it just sucks. That said, either way I'm hitting Whiteface by the 3rd week of Jan.

I'm sorry but it does fucking suck. I made the best of it and skiied on sopping wet boilerplate for 4 hours yesterday. Better than sitting home picking my ass? Sure! But am I doing cartwheels about it? Fuck no.

It's January for fuck's sake! Let's see some "snow" maybe?
