    alta

I got word that the snow and i quote is "bad" for alta standards right now, from a SLC native who is used to the usual obnoxious amounts of powder.

that said, your timing might be good for a big wallop. For early runs Try Fred's Trees, westward ho, anywhere off the late high traverse, later in day under the supreme lift if it is snowing hard....

I have been skiing Alta all weekend, and I am about to head up again today conditions are not good, but northern aspects are not bad, snow is firm but it has remained cold enough that things are not iced over yet. Looking at a storm on Thursday so keep your fingers crossed!

Wow, considering the snow levels conditions today were pretty good, the surface snow transformed to this sugar type snow that was really soft and fun to ski. Lower West Rustler, the back side, and Greeley’s area where all pretty good. The grommers were icy but who skis those anyway. We still need snow badly though lets hope this storm produces some good totals!
