    Gaiter Sizing

Debating between a large or extra large. Use would be for spring mountaineering.

    I have a size 8 foot but am 6' 3"

How high up should the top of the gaiter be, the large is just below the top of my calf and starts to fall off when I bend by knee several times. Have yet to try on the XL as it was a gift.

    Thanks.

Hmmm. They don't have to go too high on the leg, as long as they seal on the bottom where they snug around the boot and seal out snow on the top you should be fine. According to the OR sizing chart, a medium would fit you too, this might be a better option. An XL might be baggy around your boot, which would be one more thing to snag crampons on.

    6' 3" with an 8 foot size?

Have you lost any toes up on the Himalayas?

Thanks. I think I'll stick with the Large, I tried them on with all of the gear I'd be wearing (pants, boots, crampons) and they seem to fit better.
