    sickbird alpine mounting

Hey, ive searched a few threads looking for where people are alpine mounting their sickbirds but havent found much info. I kno the randonnee line is the "freeride" line but are you mounting there or a +/- a cm or two? I will mostly be using this in pow and am hardly a jibber so dont care about being centered...

I believe the randonee line is 2cm forward of the "freeride" line on last year's scratch BC (same ski). So mount it back of randonee for pow performance for sure.

Use the search function...you'll find some info.

lemme know where you end up mounting and how it rides.

i am waiting for a bit more snow here in Tahoe so I can demo the BC to see if I dig how it rides in a 185 and then, depending on how I like it, will buy the SB.

i, too, am curious about the mounting point, as I have yet to see anybody/talk to anybody who is riding it as an alpine set-up.

I had this skis and mounted it 2cm back fromt he randonee line which is the sames as the freeride line on the scratch bc, even that line felt too far forward I would consider going back 3 to 4 cm back from the randonee line. Just my 2 cents I sold the skis they were mounted too far forward for my likeing.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

This ski is jsut the Scratch BC with better graphics...

the Randonnnee line is the Modern (park) line on the BC. if you want all mountain performance, mount your boot center -2cm. If you will be in pow most of the time, mount boot center -4cm. Great skis, especially with the new WRS construction to drop 600g off the ski from last year...
