    Stick size

i got armada 2004/2005 ARVs for christmas and I was wondering if 185s are too big for me? I weigh 170-175 lbs and i'm 6'1'' (if that matters), and i was just thinking that they're going to be good for me when im older?

I prefer a stick around 5 feet long for effective beating.
The only thing worse than the feeling that you are going to die is the realization that you probably won't.

Just make sure it is no larger in width than your thumb, otherwise you can get into some trouble.

They should be fine for you at your size. The 05 and 06 ARVs are pretty soft from what I can tell from hand flexing it (have never skiied). I think the 07 is stiffer but not sure.

You'll be fine on them. I ski 187cm 4Frnt MSP's, which are a bit stiffer than the Armada's, and I weigh around 5'9'' 165 pounds and can drive them just fine, as long as I stay forward. They were a chore for anything but long turns last year when I was shorter and 15 or 20 pounds lighter, but still manageable.

I'm 5 10 140 and ski the 185 ARVs as my short, super nasty conditions, icy hardpack moguls ski. They ski shorter, super forgiving but still fairly stable, ok float for a midfat. Nice ski.
