Line Mothership Ti v. Pollard Pro

How do these two skis, made by the same manufacturer, compare? Anyone have any knowledge of the two? Looking in terms of reputation, durability, stiffness, powder v. crud, etc...

This question is related to this thread.

    (ex. 03-04 mothership ti 182, 127/97/117 v. 04 Pollard Pro 186, 118/86/111)

I am skiing on Particle's old line mothership flites (not the Ti). So take this with a grain of salt since the ti is supposedly much stiffer.

The good: sooooo light you float up the skin track, pretty quick edge to edge, rips in the pow and crud or really any BC conditions (scratch that, not so good on NW volcano ice...), oh and high schoolers think your really cool when you are in the lift line and you have a hot chick on the tails of your skis (not that there are ever any comments).

The bad: soft, soft, soft, which causes them to chatter like a nervous girl on a first date. Nonetheless I have skied some icy shit on them and it's tolerable.

If the ti is noticeably stiffer and is still light, I think it would make a damn good BC ski and a decent resort ski. Never skied the pollards, so can't comment. As far as durability, I would say they are decent. No major problems, I wish the edges were a little deeper to provide more life.

I have both. The Pollard Pros feel kinda jibby after spending time on my Big Troubles and Jaks (Motherships). Both seem to be holding up though.

mothership for sure, if you ski everything and like big mountain...I had those skis (the other graphic, the Grey with Puke-green bases)...I only got rid of them for the Prophet 100...do it...do it...

The pollards are somewhat "jibby" feeling, but i LOVE them for an in-resort all around ski.
