so contrary to popular belief it seems, i'm not dead (and neither is armchair).. and i actually on occasion even still ski. headed out to seattle to see the family tonight.. will be up in whistler tomorrow and friday and if anyone is around lets go make some turns.. let me know. back down in seattle area through the 28th.. so if its good i'm up for whatever. hope to catch a few of you guys while im in town. happy holidays.

I'm in Seattle over the weekend, and will be looking to get a day in. I don't think I'll have a car, but I could pay for gas and buy coffee.

lets see how the weather works out and where the rest of the mags are headed. may have to do family stuff so not completely confirmed, but im pretty sure i can sneak out for a day.

I told the family that I HAVE to sneak out for a day. None of them ski or understand, except my stepfather who's out with a minor injury.

Wasn't it you that once said something like "Sometimes you have to admit that you're selfish and that you put skiing ahead of family and friends?"

heh. have had some good times in interior bc and ab as well.. but whistler has flexons (principle reason for the trip up) and i can bring my mom and itll keep her busy while i go ski.

forgot how much i loved whistler until today.. its been a few years since ive been up here for the goods. just did spankys laps all day and it didnt suck at all.

so uber and i i suspect are going to go to crystal sunday but im open to alpy or even stevens? (though i hear theyve had a rough go of it so far..? ).

could also go up to baker if worthwhile....

Ah Christmas: the wrapping bomb debris litters the living room. After a great morning opening presents, I'm sent up to Alpental with 8" new, with twice that down low. Got lots of cut up in Edelweiss bowl and a couple of good ones down Nash. Then sneaking a few virgins turns @ 2:30 before a scan of Elevator shaft where we found waist deep goodness on those rollovers on the shelf to the skiers left. Flying up and over them, resisting the impulse to make the little forward spinning hand motions (why do we want to do that?). Really cut excellent dicing down the cedar slash. Thought of Sq99, GC and FeeCeeBlow, Hope youse d00ds are getting some somewhere. HoneyBee g00dness.

Things are up in the air about tomorrow @ Crustal...detail pending familial balancing.

Had a SICK day watching the little ones shred the gnar all over the living room. I ran the incinerator and the open bar.

Anyone heading up to Alpy on Wed? Got the birfday hall pass and plan to take full advantage.

Woke early, donned the stinky polypro, stoked the fire and packed the car with skis boots poles hat gloves goggles shell bibs and snaques when a cry came from my little guy upstairs.

Every day is a unique jewel, splitting the light and life in some fresh and clean way. So, while I was hoping to get back up to ye auld stomping grounds to rip some sweet and deep untouched pow in N or S back that wasn't opened yesterday, plans changed.

Weirdest of all, I'm not peeved. I'm happy. And yes, I should be posting on parents chat about potty training, tooth decay or which preschool will ensure entrance to King's College @ Cambridge. So with one teensers anxiety festival put to rest, a satisfied, snoozing son in the next room, I hope you d00ds git some goodness today. I've got some other facets to investigate.

Shin: I think I have to go back to work for a day or two this week and Wed would be a prudent day to show face. If plans change, I'll letcha know...
