Anyone wathching this? Blows my fucking mind...
We're sorta like 7-Eleven. We're not always doing business, but we're always open.
Shhh... its not on out here in the mountains til 8:00 MST.
[movie guy voice] WHY, no , no , no, you're the first to mention it, it, it..... [movie guy voice]
I want to slap Tim and Gerrard
Wow... quite the finale. After seeing what they had to go thru up there, and the conditions of both the climbers AND the mountain, I can't blame them one bit for the decision they made with the dying climber. It would have been impossible and very deadly to try to rescue him. I hate to say it, but it was his fault for not having the support team there to help him when things turned bad from the start.
The sherpa carrying the guy on his back? Sick.

There was definately no way anybody could have saved him at that point. I thought the annecdote about the Korean team, that went up there to retreive a body and failed, pretty much proved this. They could only move it 100 yards before giving up (if i remember correctly).
The big question in my mind is how the other team just left him there. Was it me, or did every other team on the mountain (aside from Russ' team) seem incompetent?
Sad stuff, but it is most definitely the nature of the beast.
