Any people here with "Landmark" experience?

Was talking with a friend of mine over some wine, a few weeks back in Val Thorens. I guess the mountains, fresh air and snow hit some kind of spot cuz we did some serious palavering.

Anyway, afer a while, he suggested I do a Landmark training. Might help clear some of my issues. Sounded like a good idea: at least he says he benefited from his experience at the time.

But did some googling now and this whole Landmark deal seems kind of whacky.

Anyone else got 1st hand experience with this?

The Landmark Center is about 2 minutes from where I live. It's pretty nice for what amounts to a fancy strip mall.

    It originated from EST

Est received negative press years back for being 'cult like'. So, it was reinvented as Landmark education or more commonly know as 'the forum'. It is more or less a model for conducting ones thoughts. I did the initial 'training' many years ago out of professional curiosity.
I can not say that I benefited...nor can I say that it was detrimemtal to my well being.
All in all, it is similar to group 'life coaching'...as in all coaching there are different fundamental philosophies...some may be agreeable...some may not.

Note, there will be a strong push for you to get others involved and to participate in advanced seminars.
