Stand facing a wall. Look at the wal. Can you see your head?

No. So it doesn't matter what's up there. Yeah, a full head is better, but shaved heads are as pretentious as pompadors (I know it's not spelled correctly).

    Either.

There are only 2 wrong decisions:
    1) spindly ass ponytail
    2) combover.

Anything else is just playing the hand you were dealt.

The skullet is admirable. Just make sure its business in the front and that there is enough hair for the party in the back.

Step taken: shaved with clippers on the lowest setting. Couldn't bring myself to hit it with a straightblade.

    Discovery: it's cold without hair.

(and that is what my head looks like now)

Clippers are good. Totally shaved is high maintenance.

Mine is marching back at a decent rate. When it gets to the point where I look like I'm trying to avoid looking bald... it gets shaved. I will not end up with the Terry Bradshaw.

My screen name has more than one meaning these days.

Clippers on number 2. Hell, beard is longer than my hair.

And yes, the dome gets a bit cold. Beanies are my best friends lately.

I like the extremes of chrome dome/super buzz cut or long hair.

But then, I also like listening to ABBA while poking myself in the armpit with a soggy grape pixie stick.

And don't forget the sunscreen in summer. Sunburn on the top of the head sucks big-time.

I tried shaving smooth a few months back. PITA. Too much maintenance. I had to shave every day to keep it smooth and that's a lot of real estate to shave. I went back to just buzzing it with the clippers every week or so.

Those new Gillette razors work well if you do decide to smooth the dome (they work well elsewhere as well).

    The money words right there.

Oily hair is much better than a very red scalp that ends up peeling. Ouch.

From a ladies perspective ... I'd rather see it shaved then comb over or an ugly toupee. Now if you have a disproportionate bald head, then hair implants may be the way to go?

Follow up ?: I'm buzzing it pretty short, but am really noticing dry scalp from the cold dry air. Tried an aloe on there, but it doesn't seem to help too much.

So...what's the best stuff to put on to keep the scalp from drying out and shedding like snow falling in the wind? Or am I relegated to dandruff shampoos if I keep my hair this short? (hmmm, maybe should this be in tech talk)?
