Got a strange letter: should I be concerned?

No, nothing all that exciting or interesting, just strange. I got a letter in the mail yesterday from the City of Seattle Dept. of Planning and Development. I opened it and it's a letter telling me my construction application has been approved. The thing is I don't have a construction project! I looked up the project number and found out this is a 109 unit apartment complex. WTF?

I called them up and they looked at their records and can find nothing with my name on it. They just told me to disregard the letter since it doesn't apply to me. Well, that's fine, but how the hell did my name get associated with this in the first place? I've never even filed a building permit of any kind with the city.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

    1) Make sure someone hasn't sniped your identity.
    2) Start building.

might as well make the top floor into a revolving bar/restaurant while you're at it.

"Does the name Jasper Lamar Crabbe mean anything to you?"

I boiled my thermometer, and sure enough, this spot, which purported to be two thousand feet higher than the locality of the hotel, turned out to be nine thousand feet LOWER. Thus the fact was clearly demonstrated that, ABOVE A CERTAIN POINT, THE HIGHER A POINT SEEMS TO BE, THE LOWER IT ACTUALLY IS. Our ascent itself was a great achievement, but this contribution to science was an inconceivably greater matter.

We're sorta like 7-Eleven. We're not always doing business, but we're always open.

According to the plan the bottom floor is retail space. I've already got a call in to Starbucks because I'm sure the area the complex is going into needs another one

The Seattle Department of Building and Development merged with the Sex Offender Registration Office and some of their files got mixed up?

Good one, but how about a Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles?

What about opening a satelite restaurant of the best Jewish-Mongolian delicatessian around?

I'd also suggest opening a Seattle location of Jose Bernstein's, but I couldn't find a good picture of the place...

Your building plans are in the basement, in a locked cabinet,in a disused lavatory, marked with a sign, "Beware of the leopard."

The planning department is never wrong, the bulldozers will arrive in the mourning.
