    Is It Too Soon...

For a weekend roll call for the PNW?

    Crystal on Saturday, anyone down?

Steve, pretty sure I am in for both Friday and Saturday. Dont know about Sunday/Monday. Need to find out when I fly home too....

I think a sick day on Friday would be in order. Steve's run is calling.
Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....

Steve's run was not skiing so good on tuesday, due to the southerly winds. It's getting hammered! Even staying on the sheltered sides of trees, you'd ski soft, and then hit the areas that had been scoured down to the boilerplate! Pretty inconsistent.

Hopefully the upper mtn runs thursday morning, so that I can go conduct a "safety assessment" of the snowpack, you know, try it out for how it'll ski saturday. Thanks to work scheduling me for a class, I won't be able to do a full assessment, and will have to skedaddle by 11.

Looks like there'll be enough snow and mag contingent on saturday to justify the weekend shitshow.

I really hope this relates to the mount, not to the snowpack.

    You mean your smokes?

So it looks like we are rounding up the usual suspects:

    Iggy- check
    Nutty- check
    Willie
    Monique
    Squirrel
    Girly
    Shin
    Jumper
    BC
    PNWBrit
    Mrs Brit
    Steve the UPS guy
    The Hart Foundation
    Lord Gravy
    Draw
    Rollins

Jumper, if the "shit show" is bothering your bum either change your diet or try another brand of toilet paper. It has been a over three weeks since last skied so I will take what I can get.

winds on friday too - next storm is supposed to hit thursday afternoon/evening and last into friday.

if the forecast pans out, tomorrow morning would be totally skiable...minus avalanche control.

Hmm, that avalanche control may actually be the issue.

Foob, "shit show" is the weekend hassle. I'm a passholder, and if I'm home during the week (not out flying) then I'm OFF. So I would WAY rather ski on a weekday than deal with the crowds. In fact, if I'm still around next year (a possibility!), I think I'll opt for the midweek pass instead.

I know what a shit show is. All I am saying is dont take what you got for granted. It may be busy Sat., but that sure as hell beats sitting at home with your thumb up your ass because you got no gear.

Dude I couldn't fit all 7 pairs of skis and 2 sets of poles and 2 sets of boots and yadda yadda yadda into my thule box even if I wanted to! Let alone somebody wanting to take my shitty Volvo...I probably couldn't give that away for free!

Sometimes retardedly excessively more is more.

But so far count me in for saturday. Besides, I think I'm Iggy's ride anyway so I kind of have to go.

Yep, I'm in. Looks like it could be reeallll good. Ya know, Chair 6 is never really all that crowded, and if they open North or South, I'll be down for a bootpack up to the King or out to Guntower/OM.

Two weeks ago on Saturday it was a beautiful bluebird day with lots of good snow still remaining everywhere and it was amazingly uncrowded. I was up by myself, so ended up lapping Green Valley and it was pretty much ski right up and get on after about noon.

I'll be shooting to arrive around 7:30-7:45.

Holiday commitments have been dispensed with, permission slip is signed and Saturday is on.

Keeping a close eye on Friday. But looks like wind will still be blowing hard for a good chunk of the morning.

That's what I was noticing too. I'd hate to lose a day of work for Queen and Lower mountain. I could see Green Valley and Rex opening tomorrow afternoon when winds die but Campbell will need to be dug out and blasted in the usual spots in Campbell basin/Powder bowl. (Won't it?)

I'll go ski the Beer Pits (or Bear Shits) until they decide to open it all...

btw Campbell has been le SUCK the past couple days, unless you traverse all the way over to below the Throne. And the traverse area and top of Powder Blowl have been scoured clean to expose all the rocks...just FYI.

Radios to 5-13 for the maggot brodown!

I've got black/grey pants, blue arcteryx jacket, black helmet w/ stickers, and probably Pontoons foR t3H w1N!

    Rally Point?

I know we will not all stick together... hell, it's a powder day! However, It would be nice to at least say hello in the morning before firing off in all different directions.

    IMHO
