Wear a fuzzy rubber skullcap, because I'm betting NY+playboating = instant icecream headaches this time of year.

Don't fail your roll just upstream from the ice shelf blocking the pool below the wave. Ice is IN.

I would make sure that the hole is clean and well manicured to start with.

    Looping Tutorial

Well, just figured I would post this. Now that I'm on break, I have lots of time to post!

The Loop is one of the most sought after moves for kayakers. It is impressive, fun to do, and you can catch huge air.

    To do a loop:

    1) Be as high on top of the pile as possible.

    2) Make sure your kayak is pointed straight.

    3) As you begin to slide down the pile, towards the trough, lean forward, still keeping your boat straight. This will plug your bow deep into the fast moving water as well as helping you to get vertical. Keep in mind that the point of entry changes for every hole although usualy you want to plug it right where the foam meets the green water.

    4) Once your bow enters the green water and begins to go vertical, stand up on your foot pegs, still leaning a little bit forward. By standing up as your boat is still going down into the water, you force your bow deeper. The deeper your bow goes, the more altitude you will get when you pop back up.

    5) Once you feel your boat begin to rise up, throw your body forward and onto your front deck to begin you rotation. You want to make sure you throw forward a little bit before your boat reaches the apex of its climb. This way, you will still be on the rise while you are rotating. Also, if you are already falling by the time you throw, you have thrown too late and will likely not complete the loop.

    This is the tricky part:

    6) Now that you have performed step #5, you are on your front deck. As you start rotating, however, you need to snap yourself backwards and take what is generaly called a "loop stroke." To do this, take what is almost a sweep stroke that starts at you bow and finishes back over your head. The loop stroke is not required, it just helps. In general, just the snap back will also work.

    7) Return to a neutral position in a front surf.

Sorry, I know the loop stroke part doesn't really make much sense without a visual. I hope this helps anyway.

I'll try to post up some videos of loops soon, hopefully they will help as well.

    Good Post^^
Well I Suppose ill teach the Boof

When comeing up onto a waterfall/vertical rock u are goin to want to boof so u dont pton or go realy deep.First thing u want to do is to reach out to ur toes and try to grip the end of the rock with your paddle, once u have done thing u pull for your life trying to axcel your boat in a flat line over the drop. One big thing that helps is when u reach out put your body forward and then when u go to boof, you pull your paddle with your arms and your body weight

    Hope this helps
