    The Accident Zone

I think i picked the most accident prone area in Bozeman to live in. First accident happend a few months ago. A hit and run t-bone. I ran out and saw the truck leave and then a few of us ran out to the car that was then starting to be in flames and we put that out. Over time i've seen over 10 semis skid to a stop for over 40 yards at the light in front of my place. I've also heard a few other fender benders happen.

10 minutes ago another one happend. I run out and am the first one there. A lady is screaming about her leg. A black guy's face is covered in blood. They want a ride to four corners. I tell them that's a no go. Then they want a towel. i say that i can get one but i gotta run up to my apartment. i tell them i'm calling 911. They say DO NOT do that. I'm like 'right, sure'. so as i'm going to get my cell phone i pass another guy and he calls them for me. The cops show up in about 30 seconds and when i go back down i heard that the black guy said he couldn't go to jail and he took off with the guy that called 911 in pursuit. They catch him thankfully.

The sad part is that about 5 cars passed by these people without stopping even though the lady was flagging them down in the middle of the road. Another curious thought was i saw a lady getting stuff out of her truck about 30 yards away without even going over to help these people.

    What a night.

That Pizza Hut is pretty good, although Godfather's across the street has better campus specials. Dammit, now I'm hungry for pizza.

I'm going to read this post every time i write the rent check for my place on a dead end with a 1.5 acre backyard, bozeman creek running through the yard and right on the rail trail.

Maybe that way ill feel better about the rent.

I think I'm going to sit in my apartment all day and watch semi's skid through traffic lights, that's more fun than most things.

Bullet I'm not sure how describing the person constitutes racism. Care to elaborate a bit more on that?

I've actually heard elves are very common in that part of Montana.

and i thought that only happened in CO. In fact, is there any state left besides Texas where people are nice enough to pull over when people look like they're in need? And aren't you required by law to stop if you witnessed the accident?

Just set up a camcorder on a tripod and you could make a fortune selling movie clips to lame shows like 'America's Worst Drivers' and the spin off series 'America's Worst Afro American Drivers'.

What does the guy being black have to do with the traffic accident? I believe that's bullet's point.

You guys are missing the point. The black guy was suspicious character, and didn't want to talk to the cops becuase he had just escaped prison. He obviously kidnapped a white chick who can't drive, and was planning some type of crack cocaine binge, white woman rape-a-thon. Read between the lines people.

About 20 years ago the Los Angeles Times did a little study to ask what kind of woman a male driver would stop to help. They had a woman standing next to a car on the side of a Freeway holding a sign that read "need help" or something like that.

    Attractive business-babe came in first

Clearly pregnant was a near second

Plain-looking middle aged and Granny were third and forth, but I forget which was which

"Hippy-chick" was a distant last place

In Portland, I suspect that first and last places would have been reversed in this test
