    Lift Access Backcountry bag

I am looking for a good bag that retails for around $100 for lift access backcountry riding. I will be hiking in, going all day and riding back. I will need to hold a shovel, food, first aid kit and a repair kit. Nothing to big, I like the flap design on top of some bags. I would be nice to hold a snowboard too

Also when you go into the backcountry from a lift what do you carry in your bags

    thanks

I really like the bca packs. The stash bc rider would be pretty nice, i'm strappin skis to mine but it's a really low profile pack, decent amount of space, built in bomber hydration system...

    north face offchute

of my vintage, they made 3, a 15 (1500cc), a 25 (2500) and a 35 (3500cc) i have the 35, and some may say its big without seeing it, but i think tnf overstated these bags. Not sure what the sizes are now...Its super nice with an aluminium stay and plastic back plate, digonal or side carry straps, shovel pocket, etc. I think i found mine on sale for $85.

Im using the dakine heli pro 2 this year, it seems to be the perfect fit for those shorter trips, fits pretty much everything i would need, its not bulky at all and fits very flat on my back, it has vertical and horizontal snowboard holder and diagnol for ski. Also has a nice pocket on the waist band for a point and shoot

Dakine Ridge is my pack of choice. It seems like they've changed it some since the incarnation I have, which I can't speak to; but my pack rocks.

Don't put anything in that waist band pocket. I have found that as you ski, the pocket will open because your arm will brush it and open the zipper. Maybe they have reversed the zipper opening now - hopefully they have.

I bought the Dakine Vertex Pack off SAC a while back, and FKNA! This pack is amazingly good. I've used it inbounds about 4 times now, and when strapped and compressed down, it's like a glove on your back. It gets my vote.
