WTB: 2007 Krypton Pros size 24.5

I saw that 26.5 pair for sale and thought that I'd post this up. A good friend of mine is getting back into skiing and has been looking for boots for a long time now. The reason that the search has been so long is that he has the skinniest lower calf you've ever seen, a whole size difference between feet, etc. etc. He's been to many shops and tried on just about every boot he can find. Older '06 Dalbellos with that POS liner did not do it. Last week he went into a shop where another friend of his works (in another state, getting complicated I realize) tries on the 2007 24.5 Krypton Pro with the standard non-thermo liner and it's like magic for him. Strangely enough the thermo liner version does not fit his shin because it can't constrict enough and is too thin. The only issue is that these things are brand new and can't be had anywhere I've seen for less than $750. Unfortunately the guy is recently out of work and this is out of his price range by a good amount. In the last couple years he's had to resort to snowboarding. Ouch! Anyways if anyone knows a place where these boots can be had for less, expecially in the Northeast, please let me know!

He actually bought some older Flexons last year just as you suggested but while the shell fit was good the fit with the liner was just not workable. Also, the wire bails were waaay too long. The shin area is the real killer. He's a competetive endurance cyclist and his lower leg is like a twig. The only thing that I can think of is buying some 2006 Krypton Pros on sale for $300 and then getting some other liner. That's pretty risky though because is would have to be similar to the 2007 Krypton stock liner or the fit might not work.

Also, how hard is it to order the stiff tongues directly from Dalbello I wonder? That's another key bit of info. Hmmm.
