    Cheap Mt. Rose Tickets SUNDAY

If anyone is interested there are cheap tickets, benefiting Sierra Avalanche Center this weekend. See below:

Sierra Avalanche Center Teams Up With Mt. Rose Ski Resort for Support the SAC: Ski/ Ride Day on Sunday, Dec. 17

Truckee, Calif. (January 6, 2006)  With the arrival of winter the Sierra Avalanche Center is off the ground and running, providing daily avalanche forecasts for backcountry enthusiasts from Yuba Pass down to Sonora Pass. Generous donations from Mt. Rose, Kirkwood, Sugar Bowl and Homewood will allow the Sierra Avalanche Center to host four “Support the SAC: Ski/Ride Days” throughout the season, offering discount lift tickets, gear demos and giveaways, introductions to avalanche safety and plenty of swag to event attendees. The event series begins next Sunday, Dec. 17 at Mt. Rose with $25 lift tickets on sale as E-tickets through Snowbomb.com (www.snowbomb.com)

The “Support the SAC: Ski/ Ride Day” at Mt. Rose will also feature several Question and Answer sessions with the SAC’s professional avalanche forecasters. Skiers and snowboarders will be able to inquire about new safety gear, avalanche conditions and anything related to backcountry recreation. Avalanche safety gear from the industries leading manufacturers will be on-hand for demonstration.

Only 500 tickets will be sold to this event, so backcountry skiers and riders, as well as resort enthusiasts, are encouraged to purchase their tickets early and plan for a great day on the slopes.

Ticket revenue goes directly to supporting operation of the Sierra Avalanche Center and the daily avalanche forecast. Look for the remainder of the “Support the SAC: Ski/Ride Day” series at Kirkwood on Jan. 21, Homewood on Feb. 4, and Sugar Bowl on March 25.

For more information visit us online at www.sierraavalanchecenter.org or call the avalanche hotline at (530) 587-2158. For tickets visit the website listed above or www.snowbomb.com. Direct media inquires via email to Justin Broglio at justin@snowbomb.com or by cell phone at 208-596-0838.

    BUMP

I know the skiing is sad, but this is a good cause and they really rely on these benefits as one of their main sources of funds. I sure would miss the avy forecast if it didn't exist. Consider coming out and skiing what they do have, it's only $25, and they have Icky on tap in the bar.

    Thumbs up

I definitely want to show my support. Is there any way I can pay cash, as that's my only mode of banking? If I must I'll get a buddy to do it for me, but I'll be there. First timer, and I use your site daily. I'll at least finally get to check out those gorgeous chutes from a distance. Hell yeah!
