    Offset bindings on Powder Plus?

So I just picked up a set of Powder Plus in Switzerland for not very much at all: early model, little used....what a paint job!!....I'm seriously in the market for a flourescent 1 piece to match!

Anyway they are mounted with Sollie 477 with leashes. The bindings are mounted offset (the skis are marked accordingly).

I've never skied off-set before and although these will probably only see action a few days a season I was wondering whether to re-mount to "normal" binding position?

    I'd welcome your thoughts.....

there is a huge thread with lots and lots and lots of stuff in it about this subject.

but long story short, offset bindings was for dentists in 1992. and those 477 are beyond worthless.

I was thinking re-using the holes, not the bindings....

Mntlion read my mind...the 477 are for the bin, I was wondering about centering the new bindings or going with the original design.

Either way I am in dire need of a flourescent 1 piece....the design on the topsheet deserves it!

Anybody actually skied the offset style? I searched and read the long thread that marshalolson referred to but the engineering speak and maths was rather over the head of my simple mind.

know a lot of guest (50 year old dentists that WHERE good skiers, 15 years and 30 pounds ago) that used them and liked them helisking, not many others used the skis.
I have some helistars that are offset like that, 115 waist.
