Thumbs down What's with this weather?

Tahoe got a little snow, but has no base. Colorado hasn't seen significant snow for a while. Taos is hurting. Utah isn't seeing anything. Washington got dumped on, but Baker is forecasting rain for the next week. There just isn't any great skiing in the entire lower 48 right now. Very odd. Hope it ends soon.

I've got more suits than Liberace, but less than Eastvailhucker.

There are, however, a few spots that are still holding decent snow...

correction on the Baker/WA rain cycle. it may get a little wet on the front end of the storm, but cooling trend as the week progresses. of course you can't predict the weather in WA more than two days out, but I'm liking this with about 2-4 feet of snow on the way and currently snowing.

It's dumping in Utah. You can remove that from your list for the time being.

I think I'm gonna buy a Pugsly, or a bling bling turner frankenbike. If you are confused, search on MTBR.

I have the distinct honor of no sleep tonight, so I'll likely be watching them hourly.

So, (this is a serious Q) do you prefer quiet nights over busy nights? Cause' busy nights would mean someone else was having a rough patch...I am genuinely curious. connundrum material....

Yeah, that forecast is pointless as it's for Bellingham, they just put "Mt Baker" at the top of the page.

The temps are definitely a concern right now though. This storm will either come in "okay" or "bad." It's too warm for the champagne pow we had about three weeks ago

Thanks Blurred! Maybe we can send some of the moisture SW toward Colorado after it exits the Cascades? Everybody seems to be due for a good dump soon.

Freezing levels look decent for Baker, but it has been raining there (from what I can see on telemetry today). I would expect it to change shortly with the FL's holding steady at 4000 or less this week.

Looks like the Central Cascades will benefit from the East Winds keeping the freezing levels locally lower near Snoqualmie & Stevens so that's good news.

by the way, when u coming out to check out alpental?
