    krazy glue for shinbang?

I have some spots where the skin has gotten irritated from shinbang. I've been taping the areas with hockey tape, which works OK, but has also led to some secondary irritation.
I'm thinking of trying to seal the areas with krazy glue before I tape 'em.

wtf...do you guys think this is this stoopid or should I just give'r with the tape-n-glue?

Krazy Glue the tape over your shinbang. Yeah! Go for it and report back to us. A full TR complete with before and after pics is expected. Good luck.

Try the liquid bandaid before you try krazy glu.
This touchy-feely Kumbaya shit has got to go.

    Ditto that.

Not the second skin, but the liquid bandage. Should come with a dropper and a set of sterile daubers.
Have used this with great success on Maui for cuts and blisters.

    Two cautions:
    1) you do not want to seal in an infection
    2) the normal scab/healing process is retarded, so it is only a temporary solution to get you back in the game.

I've had good success with New-skin.
It stings a bit and wreaks like acetone, but it has done me good.

well, I tried the glue and a different direction with the tape today. It seemed to work OK.

The truly unfortunate thing is that I think this may need time off to actually heal. dammit.

umm, and trust me you don't want the photos. yeah no.

    try moleskin

but put a bit of tape on the moleskin to avoid sticking to the raw area. i really wouldnt use krazy glue unless you want the same grotty tape stuck there for a few days.

Where is all your sense of adventure? I was just looking for a Krazy Glue TR gone bad. I thought that would be funny coming from such a stupid thread. Krazy Glue was originally developed as an alternative to stitches and not as a rugburn type of remedy. I can't believe nobody played along with this one.

If you are considering Crazy Glue then I guess you have already shaved the lower leg? I have used that solution in the past.

have you considered buying properly fitting ski boots that dont rub your leg down to the bone? could be a better idea then putting glue/tape all over yourself....

it was an anomaly, I went out on my 1st day of the year and didn't buckle tight enough, then skied a bunch of super-choppy roughass crud- thus creating the problem. Just a "been out of it for 7 months" kind of stupid mistake. It wasn't a boot thing. All is well now.

actually I'm pretty much trying nothing at this point since the Krazy-glue-as-bandage with hockey-tape-as-moleskin along with a few days off over the holidays allowed everything to heal really well. Thanks though.
