Dimpled Base?

Took my skis to a reputable spot in Denver for mounting and there is a dimple on both skis where a heel screw has obviously gone further than it should. It did not poke all the way thru, but the base is raised. I will have to talk to the owner on Monday.

Can this be fixed or should they be replaced?

grind the screws shorter, retune, wax, should be fine

Gimme a break. A dimpled base can be fixed and tuned and the skis as good as new, actually better now with a good FREE tune. If the Porsche Dealership puts a little ding in your new 911 unloading it from the trailer, they are not going to give you a new car, they are going to fix the ding.

Its hurts everyone when you take advantage of any retailer, it drives their cost ups, and in turn the prices for everyone else as well as you.
