    Garmin GPS software: City Navigator

Anyone use Garmin's City Navigator GPS software?

I have a Garmin 60CS handheld GPS, and apparently the City Navigator software allows it to work like a dedicated automobile GPS unit -- tilted bird's-eye view of street map, turn-by-turn prompts, etc. Thought it might be a worthwhile addition.

    Thumbs up

    I would check it out.

I use iGuidance on our Archer Field PC on all my business trips and it tells me turn by turn where to go. I really do love it, especially in strange to me cities.

Yeah we've got a 60CSx with the auto nav kit. The thing is awesome. Needs a memory card upgrade though to handle more than about 1 mid-sized state's road maps. The navigation is really good, clear and easy to follow. Works great. We were in the middle of nowhere Indiana on the interstate and it routed us to a Starbucks within 1.5 miles of our location. Then when we got back to town we decided we wanted to try a new sushi restaurant; we were able to search by type of food and proximity, and it routed us to a great new place to eat.

I haven't had a chance to load the topo maps yet, looking forward to that.
