You see, the first ever astronaut (Yuri Gagarin) used these sticks

"Yuri, THIS is what you need!" - says Korolyov, chief designer of the first manned space ship.

"How big are YOUR balls?" - asks Yuri Gagarin, first astronaut ever, whos balls definetely were not smaller than Jamie Pierre's.

Just trying to have some fun. Concept was born while airing some kickers this weekend... and was implemented this night, from 3:00 till 4:30 AM.

Woke up because of the shin bang pain (and alcohol leftovers), applied some contrast shower, troxevasin gel, and worked with Photoshop for hour and a half

My shins are "professionally banged", but i still suck while spinning

Right there! Look at my "kinda cork" It was done with smaller sticks... i don't even want to guess, what would happen with my axis (already pretty lost) if i'd go bigger

GUYS, WHAT DO I DO WRONG?

Are you calibrated for grid north or magnetic north? Could be it.

half a rotation more and you´d do a perfect 540´.

the nose of the jump seems to be quite ok.

Try to keep your balance a bit forward in the end of the rotation.
And your head dont follow the direction of the rotation. As soon as your about to leave the lip, spin your head and begin to spot the landing.

Were you trying to go corked? What degree of spin were you trying for?

meatdrink9: hmmm... actually i thought i'll do it a bit off-axis while first 180 and then will return to the vertical axis... but it doesn't work

rightcoast: LOL... was it offensive? LOL anyway you see, we don't ski in our furry hats - they are too expensive (you know, greenpeace and all that shit)... plastic giro's shit is way cheaper. and it's easier to find that plastic hat when you bailed - most likely it's ontop of your head

My guess is that when you're bombing the inrun to try this, you feel a little apprehensive, and get in the back seat. You then set the spin from the backseat, and pop off the lip from the backseat, and then set the rotation with your head by whipping your neck around. I bet you find yourself looking at your tails, which is how you set a cork spin.

Try keeping your weight forward, hands in front, and setting the rotation with your hips and shoulders, rather than your head. After you set the rotation, look over your shoulder. This serves two purposes: it keeps you rotating, and you can spot your landing.

Keep trying it though... and don't forget how to set that cork. After you get straight threes, try setting it like you are now, but off a bigger jump, and keep your chin tucked into your chest while you're rotating. If you do it right, you should have a sick cork 5.
