Cannon free day today. Web site says 10-12 overnight. My boy Herbie just verified with a report of 12" up there.....

    Stowe wasn't that great.
Soul and I got to the parking lot with 10 minutes to spare before lifts turn, so we hurry and get ready and head up, The quad was closed, as was the double, so we proceeded to wait in line at the triple for ~30-40 mins untill 830, when they finally finish grooming and moving snow around so you could actually have a line to ski into, as well as having to make an offload ramp. So, after 40 mins of freezing our balls off, we head up. All groomed, with some somewhat deep stashes off the side of the trails, those got skiied out by 930...It was ok...How did the other mountains fare?

I have to agree with Phall, Stowe wasn't that great. It was too cold and too crowded to make worthwhile turns.

BUT... after a little refueling, I went over to Spruce to help build a kicker for the MMSC's freestylers. We got in a tame little spot out of the wind.

Here's some pictures of the process:
(and my dog hucked it off the kicker in pursuit of a snowball. she's only 5 months old. hell yeah.)

i tried to straighten the pictures, but it didn't work. sorry you'll have to tilt your head.
