    backcountry != backcountry.com

    Hey, I understand the SAC autolink deal, but changing the word
    Code:
    backcountry
    to backcountry.com in every post is pretty fucking annoying.

    Edit: apparently if I type
    Code:
    backcountry.com
    it capitalizes it. Not that I care, just kind of random.

    this is over the line. linking SAC is fine, since it's a website, something that we all use, fairly innocuous, etc. However, the word "backcountry" has been used here mostly in the context of the BC, not the webstore. I have no problem with TGR autolinking backcountry.com, but if I want to talk about backcountry skiing I don't want a backcountry.com link.

    Good advertising should help people, not hinder them.

    edit: do you see how fucking annoying this is? I'd say this is along the lines of Powder douching up the cover of my Photo Annual to inform me that this is my second to last issue.

    Obviously a case of mass hysteria, nothing to see here.
