I thought it was pretty hilarious back in the early 90's when Colorado came off one of it's bust cycles and started booming again. Lots of warmer climate folks moved into the foothills on the west side of Denver, especially Californians and Texans and brought thier "warmer climate" vehicles. The first winter storm was great. I never saw so many crashed corvettes, camaros, porches and the likes. Then a couple weeks later it snowed again... I never saw so many wrecked brand spankin' new Jeeps and SUV's. The Jeep/SUV dealerships must have made a fortune!

All the students in Boulder who are originally from California start bitching when it is 50. They would be a lot warmer if they would ditch the Rainbow sandals and do the anual TNF or Patagonia purchase. This kind of weather gives one the chance to throw on the puffy coat.

I don't know what's worse, the general public bitching about storms, or the weather guy on TV talking about an incoming storm and making it sound like the end of the world is coming. This last wave of storms that came through Salt Lake really wasn't that bad in the valley...but you'd never have known it from watching TV. They were making it sound like the single biggest snow storm in Salt Lake history. Maybe it's just the current trend of Americanism where everything is "the worst EVER!!". Regardless, I miss having RB doing the weather, he at least got excited about storms and the snow they were bringing.
