    Legend XXL

So in my never ending search for new skis.... which deprives me of sleep, now I am considering some XXLs. "Yes" I know they are kind of "skinny" and I realize they are "traditional", but any body been on them. I did search, but there didnt seem to be much about these bad boys, only a couple of first hand reports. Oh, and from the price of these things, I am going to assume they arent race room construction like the old LPs. Maybe that is why they are a bit softer as well. In person, this ski sure looks like fun, but anyone spent much time on them yet?

I was lucky enough to try them last year when my rep finally got a pair. They are sick. Super stable yet pretty easy to ski. Unfortunately I hear Dynastar is already sold out of them though... Maybe a shop still has some kicking around.

If for some reason you can't find them, a shop here in town has a pair I can pick up for you.

i know a shop with a couple as well, PM me, the construction is similar to the older G9s with the milled core (thinner in the middle of the ski, thicker or ridges above the edge to "perimeter weight" the ski without crazy heavy swingweight)

They look pretty sick. The tip has a huge amount of curve and they seem to have a nice medium-stiff flex.

I was under the impression that the LP XXL was the only ski Dynastar was sending out of the race room, at least for sale.

    Which shop is that?

I'm in bozeman, and haven't seen any around. Don't worry, I won't steal them from you though, I'm just curious and want to fondle/flex them.

PhD had a pair the last time I was in there. Interesting skis, no doubt.

BTW, I heard the same thing as Tri. XXL is race room. The LPs are now production skis.

I just assumed the XXLs arent race room since I keep seeing them for under $900 bucks and I couldnt find LPs last year for less than $1100 at retail joints....

I have a pair of xxls, but have only skied em once. it is a bit softer than last yrs LP, but construction still seems burly. the ski initiates your turn a little faster than the LP and feels very stable throughout. overall, Id say its a bit more user friendly in the sense you dont have to be hauling ass to get max performance like you would on the LP. I'll post again when I ski them some more.

Prof wouldn't a DP 120 flex 3 be good for you?

Just wondering why you haven't gone for those. Size? Price? No pro-form?
