Picking up a pair of Garmont thermo fit liners on the cheap for my Scarpa T1's soon and this will be my first time working with thermo's.
To start with- I have read all the threads in Tech Talk, Telemarktips, TP and Telemarkski in regards to the home heating/molding process.![]()
However, after calling around the MPLS & St Paul (MN) area, I found a shop that heats thermo liners up by putting a couple of tubes that force hot air down into the boot to soften up the liners instead of putting them in an oven. Anyone hear of this process/ have success with this type of heating before? It basically sounds like i would have to make my own toe caps, etc. & basically do it myself in their store. Nice of them to offer it free of charge, but am i better off doing it in my own oven? ?
BTW- they are listed on bootfitters.com as a trained and recommended bootfitter. (if that means much)![]()
thanks for the help
